Overview
Job Description:
Own chip bring-up phase(s). Lead Validation group in cross-functional team meetings. Lead the development of validation test cases with automation in pre-silicon phase by using various development environments or pre-existing validation/evaluation boards. Create post silicon validation test plan in automation framework with detail validation strategies. Analyze solutions when issues or bugs are found. Design the system level test configurations for executing validation tests, automation and regression. Seek to improve test coverage and product quality.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Engage in all phases of chip bring-up. Create post silicon verification test plan in automation framework with detail validation strategies.
- Lead the development of validation test cases with automation in pre-silicon phase by using various development environments such as verification/model based simulation or pre-existing validation/evaluation boards.
- Analyze solutions when issues or bugs are found.
- Design the system level test configurations for executing validation tests, automation and regression. Seek to improve test coverage and product quality.
Education/Experience Requirement:
- BS and 6-8 yrs or MS and 4-6 yrs or Ph.D. and 2+ yrs experience in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering or equivalent
- Sound knowledge and experience in 40Ge MAC/PCS termination, frame generation and RMON function, 40Ge router line card application. 40Ge framer and Mapper Devices.
- Proven track record of successful validation of designs in leading-edge technology
- Proficient in Firmware/low level Programming, C/C++ programming, Python, Perl and TCL.
- Experience in 10Ge LAN/WAN, OTN, 8G/10G Fibre Channel, SONET/SDH, Ethernet over SONET/SDH (EoS), ATM, TCP/IP, MPLS protocols and Technology
- Experience on Test Equipment such as 40Ge CFP and OTU3 tester from JDSU, 10GE IXIA, JDSU Test Point, Anritsu, ANT-20, OmniBER OTN, Digital Sampling Oscilloscopes, and/or Logic Analyzer.
- Good English communications skill, both verbal and writing
Special Skills or Knowledge Desired:
- Review and approve schematics, functional and detailed design requirements, simulation results, board layout, and board test plan/results for both internal and external boards.
- Knowledge or experience on PowerPC Processors and Test Automation
- Good understanding of Test Automation.
